comment on this forum? Like Charles or Vaughn or one of their customer service folks? They sure are helpful when you call the factory. One of their engineers is in their instruction DVD for the Infinium L/S.

I have never seen anyone from Garrett post here. Actually, it is rare for any company personnel to directly comment on a forum for other metal detecting sites too. If there are concerns, the people are usually asked to contact the company directly. A well staffed company shouldn't need to have engineers or repair personnel start commenting directly on the forums anyways. There are always dealers and experienced users to fill that gap.

Ya, I agree, They have better things to do than to listen to all this %$#&^^&**&%$#$%$#%$^ on here  and if they did reply all they hear would be &^$%^&&^&%^$()^*(*&^%$

Garrett got better CENTS than that

Yeah, I suppose so. On the other forum associated with my previous detector they had an "ask (name brand goes here)" area on the forum. I am new to this group and didn't know if someone was associated with the Garrett factory. There are a lot of guys who really have great information.

I have seen her post (she has since retired) maybe 2 x in the last 10+ years. One was entering a Christmas exchange on this forum. She was well known, and a lot of people got their issues resolved on the phone. The people dealing with issues today on the phone are just as knowledgeable about current and past Garrett Metal Detectors, plus they also are metal detector enthusiasts in their spare time. They also have an electrical engineer on site to deal with complex issues.

So if you call about a metal detector oparations issue, they know exactly what you are talking about.
