Haha only here can I post such a dumb admission.
So today is 105 here with humidity (heat index) do im not going out. But I'll spend my time at home watching YouTube videos of machines I own while bench testing units, taking notes for cheat sheets.

Haha
Although u want to try something next time I hunt this certain area that I'm sure is virgin since at least the 80s and back then nothing went that deep, I want to set my disc to block iron and just dig until I get angry.
I have heard, and sometimes feel this myself, that I'm missing things by setting low, thumbing the knob, then choosing whether to dig or not. I'm sure I am.
But I also get annoyed.
I never thought that finding a penny would make me so happy, until I dug 356 pull tabs and washers. Haha.

Only here can I post such a weird admission.
But I must be honest, I'm running out of videos.
So gents. Post more videos.

Part of the fun of the hobby, how many pulltabs are you will to dig to find a coin-game?
You just never know what the next pull tab may really be..............

I had a Fisher Coinstrike it called bottle caps coins, can't remember but it called pulltabs coins as well.
So I didn't have it long.

Its very rare that i ever find pulltabs on my farmland permissions, its mainly confined too say parks, beaches and picnic areas, coke from the cleaning out of the old steam engines fireboxes is a bigger problem for me though.

I was out md'ing in the heat today, I found 13 coins today including a quarter that was possibly hit by a lawn mower .I'm working way too hard for 13 coins. I pulled a big spike today, along with the square nails.:tesoro:

spot is key, determination is 2nd, switching off emotions as best we can is 3rd , notice no detector is mentioned reason is looking for gold requires a lot of thought then a lot of non thought.

then after all that you need a detector and something to dig with.

It's not possible. These are beep and dig. I set the sabre at all metal and I dug every pull tab, can slaw, nail, coin, spike, some sort of old sign that looks like made out of lead.I think it is the only time that I've ever used AM mode for other than pinpointing. With a 4" coil, it was self pinpointing, without actually pinpointing. There seems to be no limit as to how fast you can sweep a 4" coil, it's going to beep as it passes over an metal object. I found a bottle top still on the bottle neck where the seal was broken on the cap.

I think we need to start a thread where for one month we beep and diggers detect in all metal and dig every target, then post our finds. Or maybe just one weekend in a month. We could make it like No-Shave-November..

We're the hairy ones of the detecting world! :yo:
