hello all, have a good look at part of my small button collection. pictured are some of the various 1 and 2 piece buttons ive found over the years. the small union kepi button is one of my favorites,it was the devil to find, as is the south carolina [bought] and the really nice "I" button [also bought.] i like to buy a new button every year for the collection. i figured if i couldnt find one, then why not buy one? hahaha. i should help to feed the hobby too! the rest are union and confederate buttons, and 90% were found near known campsites or battlefields. the flattened eagle botton killed the audio circuit on my machine when i found it! hahaha, whats that tell ya? it took my machine a full day to recover, but has been alright since. theres an unusual high dome union cuff button in there too. the "I" button has the desirable em lewis , richmond, va. backmark, and the south carolina has the horstmann and allien/ny backmark. theres a lot of flatbuttons on this pic i know, and they all have interesting backmarks! i'll take a flatbutton! theres a pair of union fly buttons in there too. ive found my share of 12th georgias too, i have hundreds. maybe theyll appreciate in value someday. but anyway, enjoy the pics of some good ol southern and northern buttons... and hh,
