does any one know anything about the fisher pipointer how good they are ?

just wanting some feed back on the fisher pinpointers does any one have any experiences with them ?

If your talking the ones made by First Texas Products, they are heavy plastic, cap MUSt be taped on, you can easily mod them, they are no motion detectors and can detect a target at about 1-1 1/2" from tip...The stock buzzer is weak, and should be replaced with a better one...it is a 6V buzzer, and can be replaced with one with more Db and more vibration...you can add an external LED if you want also for night hunting. I own one, and have had to replace it once...If you hunt in rocky soil, your gonna go through the tip in about a years time...but they are cheap, and work well.
