Do you think our M.A and N.H beaches will produce this winter.

I saw on the news a few days ago that some poor woman lost her house on Plum Island in Newburyport. I started thinking that maybey the cuts and erosion will be heavy this year around here. Bad news for home owners on Salisbury and Plum Island, good news for us. I wanted to get out these past few days but I did not want to go to the even leagl places to hunt on plum island, due to the cops being in a rightfully so rage over looters with this old ladies house that crashed on the beach. Also, Hampton and Salisbury dont look like they have had much sand removed to give up any oldies. I just hope the jerk scavengers dont make any of us responsible and respectful detectorist a bad name around these beaches. I think everyone should stay away from the beaches that are being sandbagged to prevent another house loss into the beach. You know how home owners can be, they are fuming over the possible loss of property and then they see one of us walk by with a long handled scoop. We would not even have to be near the house and they would flip out. So in a nutshell lets hope that we get some cuts and erosion that helps us and not hurt the homeowners.

take care
Jason

This was my first year hunting on Old Orchard Beach and Hampton. I was wondering if it is worth traveling from Vermont to either of these to hunt this winter? I just got a new Detecterpro Wader and can't wait to try it out. I'll probably stick to the wet sand as the water will be way too cold.

[size=medium]Bernie - Your going to love that Detector Pro Wader. I've used mine at Hampton and Salisbury and just love it. I've gone for four hours with no arm fatigue. It's just great.

I saw that house this spring and knew it was going in Later this summer they built a sand dune against the house
that lasted about a month or two and now it's gone I can't believe how little they did to save it I know you can't protect every house
but if the houses next door get washed out there will be nothing left to stop it from crossing the street
Then half the island will be gone

As far as hunting the area goes it wasn't a very good summer crowd wise but you never know

Correction I just saw a picture of the house that fell in but that's not the one I was talking about
The one I was talking about is on the left-hand corner of the parking lot maybe three or four houses down from it I think it used to be a restaurant
I guess that means they're all in trouble
