Do you think Minelab will give us more bins?

Sorry but I have not been follwing this forum very much and dont know if the question has been answered. Hopefully one of the future updates will be the availablity of more bins. Any word on this?

As of the last conversation I had with them about this, no, there are no plans on adding bins.

We can always hope that they listen Bill.

Bill......In the sticky on the CTX 3030 Resource Center. many people have posted the request for more tone bins be made available. From what I understand the Minelab folks keep tabs on software suggestions, etc. that are posted there. Only the Minelab folks would know what ideas they may pursue. I agree with you that more bins would be very nice, but only time will tell if that will be a future upgrade....HH

I too would like to see one or two more bins.........

Now that they have sold us the machines and have our money what is their incentive. As Randy pointed out in another post this is not the same as a defect or performance issue that needs to be addressed.

Rather the question is whether the voices of enough customers is enough to prompt Minelab to spend the time on community desired enhancements.

Customer satisfaction. The CTX is not the last detector to be manufactured. Those of us who purchased the CTX are the customers that Minelab needs to be successful in the future. I'm not saying every wish will be granted in an update. But no way will Minelab cut bait on us.

Yes, more bins please many people have asked for it. Gatekeeper any idea when the next update will be available?

Would be nice to do a small block for nickels.

That is what I was thinking too. I know you can do it now but I like to seperate zinc from copper too. Really need 5 for our american coins.

Bill...I totally agree with that......5 or maybe 6 bins. With 6 bins you could also bracket the Indian penny range. I currently have a nickel bin and just deal with the wide bin that goes from the nickels to the silver range. I like finding those old nickels but may do some more tweaking if spring ever gets here. (we got 8" of snow this weekend)....HH

Welcome back Bill, This one #3 ?? :poke:
I have lobbying for fully assignable tones like the V3 since the CTX came out...Also would like to pick differnt color schemes like this one from the V3 with the black background for night hunting.....

or one of the many other combinations for better visibility in diffent lighting conditions..

These suggested software changes should be posted on the sticky in the CTX 3030 Resource Forum, they may do more good being posted there. As it is, this post has gone from answering a question to turning into upgrade ideas Here is a link:
