I want to take just a little time to thank all the older hands at metal detecting that have helped me so much in my learning. A lot of the younger folks think they know everything about this great hobby, but in reality they have only touch the vast amount of learning required to become a very efficient and effective detectorist. Thanks for all the replies I've received from many of the older hands at this hobby. Thanks for all the time you've spent on experimenting and posting the results over the past several years. Now it would be hard to name them all but here is just few that have really helped me.

Thanks to:
Tinfoil------coil footprint information with various tips on the F75
Brad----replies on different subjects
Dave-----professional help
Gene Scullion------fantastic dealer and adviser

Add Mike Scott and Monte too.
Heck thank everyone who has helped me.

that we've all helped each other along the way. I know that the 15 years I've been posting on various forums have done a lot for me, too. Questions often cause us to re-visit some of the things we learned in the past and those "memory refreshers" help us be better detectorists as well.

The main thing is that you're still here, you're enjoying the hobby, and that is reward enough for anyone I believe.

:confused:Remembering yesterday not so well, but remembering my first few fines with a MD clear as a bell.

Past experiences prepare us for future endeavors. There is not one of us on this or any other forum who is beyond learning a little more. The pioneers of metal detecting and those who shared their knowledge and experiences with the rest of us are a valuable asset. A big hats off to you all !! And now as we progress we too can share and teach others as we ourselves have been taught. Ron
