Do you or don't you discriminate out the 50 conductive line? (Roman site pattern)

I hunt with the Roman pattern all the time. A friend of mine suggested to discriminate the 50 conductive line... to get rid of a lot of nail signals.

Do you hunt with this line open?

You're probably right bigbuck. I just remember him telling me to get rid of it, because of falsing.

"Nothing good comes up on 50" he said. :detecting:

Thanks for the info.

No I do NOT disc out the 50 line.....I have dug probably 5 silver coins in last couple seasons that were solid 50 they had nails right on or beside the coin

Most of the large Silvers I have dug have been 01-50 thru 03-50
The 1971 IKE Dollar I just dug was a solid 01-50 from ALL directions...It was only 4 inches deep

HH,

Thanks for the info Digger! I'm hitting an old park Monday or Tuesday. I'll dig any 50's that come up.

It's been too cold to hunt lately... :twodetecting: Send us up some of that Southern weather!
