Do you hipmount, chestmount, or use the stock "under the cuff" mount on your Sovereign?

I tried chestmounting mine at the beach in August and it worked well. However, on a lawn I have no real trouble with the Sovereign box mounted under the cuff, if I can glide it on the grass. I bought some "load bearing suspenders", the H style military kind but haven't used them yet.

I have never seriously considered a hip mount because I think it would be too much weight on my belt. If you hipmount i'd be interested to see how you do it.

Thanks,

Julien

On the beach I keep in on the road(I use the whites rod and have the control box under the armcuff) and when I wade I chestmount it and can go up to my waist.

Tried to bag mount it and found it to awkard so I turned the brains around backwards and mounted it under the rod like normal but facing the controls to the front of the machine. This makes it easier to reach down with your finger without ever leving the culff and flipping the switch to pinpoint.

..............................................................JULIAN, I like the chest mount set-up!! But from your wording there may be some confusion on what is a Hip-mount and/or a Belt-mount!! If I moved my chest-mount to my side and lowered it so that the control box is resting on my hip........I would consider that a hip-mount (although the strap is still hanging around my neck!)..............Now the belt-mount either straps to your belt or is attached to a separate heavy duty belt................................if the belt is securely attached to you...............................I don't think that the weight would be noticeable..................Joe

I've tried all three. Usually use the rod mount. When I go to the beach (rarely) I used chest mount. I have no meter, but do have the sunray inline probe, which makes the whole thing a bit heavier, but not so I can't go for a few hours.
