Do you guys dig " overload" signals?. The mxt makes such a fuss about it, I figured it is just trash.

It is the few times that you are wrong that makes it worthwhile for me.

i decided to one time , swingin my DFX, and right there under the leaves was a beautiful sabre belt plate.
Needless to say, since then i dig up a LOT o' surface trash right under the leaves er grass.
Like..sooner or later it's gonna be a nice gold ring instead o' foll (that's southern fer foil ), or a pull tab.
Ya jist never know.

till the over load go's way and you get a iron ,copper, brass reading. You can size up the target better and dig or not if you want.

.... a blacksmith's hoard of bronze age axe heads. Each one is worth thousands of dollars. I think there were 5 or 6 in the hoard.

I've found digging overloads the first thing in the morning is much easier than later in the day, so typically ignor them late in the day ..... Never had one yet that was worth digging .... perhaps I didn't dig the right ones.
