Do you folks hunt coins in All Metal on the C$?

Tony, I hunt in all metal all the time. I toggle back and forth and check signals in disc most of the time. I found pocket drop of silver and wheats that were 12 plus inches. Most of my hunting in sites with limited trash, I hunt in all metal. Great feature with the VDI numbers still there. Good luck. R.L.

Tony, I started out experimenting with the notches and sens. Since I knew all metal was very deep, I didn't know how accurate the vdi numbers would be without the tones. I did notice that the numbers were not all that accurate with a 10 plus inch target, but I dig everything that is close to a good number that is deep. I did realize that when you have foil and tabs notched, it affects the depth compared to the all metal by several inches. This is not an exact experiment, but I found by not notching anything out and listening to all the tones, I could hear the deep targets that all metal could hear, though not as distinct. Another reason I check between all metal and notch mode(do you call this disc on a C$?) is I was hoping that deep rusty iron could be eliminated. My CZ will sometimes repeat a deep rusty target and the C$ seems to do a better job of telling me what I have. By not notching anything, I also have the tones as well as the VDI numbers to go by. It really does work for me to toggle back and forth especially on the real deep targets. R.L.

The strange all-metal sound sorta bugs me for some reason :) I hunt in disc. then switch over to all-metal if I hear a iffy deepy. In my soil, I generally don't see a huge difference in depth between the two modes, while using the same settings.
