Last week I dug a "54 Rosie in the park and on my way out I bumped into a friend who I met in the park a couple years ago. We haven't even exchanged names yet but he's always fascinated with any finds I show him so I gave him the silver dime and that was a first for me. Today I went back to see if I could re-coop that silver and I was graciously rewarded. I started out digging nickel signals, seven of the eight or ten were nickels and the rest were trash but still no gold. Then I found what looks like a large musket ball, it is definitely lead but twice the size of the others I've dug. Next came the GW and I wondered if it was karma and on my way out I dug the nicest walker I've ever found. Now I'm sure it was karma. The half signal was very sketchy, in fact I wasn't even sure that I was digging a coin until that big rim popped out. The park doesn't owe me anything and now I feel even better about doing something nice for a friend.
