Do ya think this will work?

I use one and it's great. Cheap and effective! Downside: Not water proof, thin plastic, cheap button. Will last at least a season if careful. Compared it next the Whites pointer and I like it better. Just my opinion.
 
Yup. I use one too. About 7/8 of an inch with new battery, fades to about 3/4 of an inch for most of the battery run then drops to almost touching target as the battery dies. Useful and inexpensive, gets many hours of hunting on one battery.
