After a good friend of mine joined facebook he become aware that there is a group called : The metal detecting nighthawks

They are actually proud of using their free time to plunder archeological sites in the night, speaking very bad words about detectorists and landowners that i will not mention here. Sick....! And they show pictures of stolen finds of great rarity... all in all a group that works agains metal deting hobby as a whole. Both detectorsists and manufacturers and fire up all people that are against us.

IF WE`RE NOY CAREFUL PEOPLE LIKE THESE CRIMS WILL MAKE GOVERNMENTS INTRODUCE LICENCING AS WAS THE CASE IN THE UK UNTIL 1981, AND THAT WILL PUT OFF YOUNGSTERS FROM THE HOBBY AND START TO KILL IT OFF, SO IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE DOING/CONDONING THIS SORT OF ACTIVITY THEN HAVE A WORD WITH THEM

Thanks for bringing this to our attention - I joined the Metal detectorists against Nighthawks group and encourage everyone else to do so as well.

One bad group like the Nighhawks group can do so much damage to the hobby.
