Do I have a problem ???

Today my had a hunt and i along with other seemed to have problems with 1 of the targets.
it was a rather large steel washer. And my gold bug did not seem to be able to settle on it.
Not sure if thats is a problem or just something that the goldbug pro has trouble with.
Does anybody using the goldbug pro with the larges 5X9 coilseem to have trouble detecting large washers ? I think it was iron.

Is the ID jumping around? Sometimes this happens for any type of object. Sometimes this happens when sweeping from different directions. Maybe there was another object close by that was causing the jumping around. Maybe the washer was tilted in the ground. Post some pics of your washer. Is this the Fisher coil or NEL? I will try to duplicate and see what you are saying. What mode; all metal or disc? What was your disc break set at? I usually set mine to 40 so I detect everything and the iron will have the low tone and non ferrous has the higher tone.

Well thats a problem. it was a planted club hunt so I no longer have a washer. I am not sure if they were steel or what. but they looked to be about 1.5 " with a 1/2" hole in the center.

Jim, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm taking my G2 with the Sharpshooter coil out for a spin today if the rain will stay stopped. If I find a steel washer with the G2 today I'll let you know. I may have one that I use for testing laying around somewhere and let you know what I find out.
