Do different units "like" different coins??

I have recently started hunting with my discovery 2200, and am noticing that the majority of the coins I am finding are dimes and quarters now. With my QD-II, I was getting mostly pennies, with the occasional dime or quarter. Now, with the 2200, I'm finding dimes 3-1 over pennies, and quarters at about a 2-1 ratio. What's going on here?

Sounds like your getting lucky!! Over the course of time I think you will find the ratio of cents to other coins is close to 50/50. But every day will be different.

I have an Elite 2200 which I believe is equivalent to the Discovery 2200. Some days I find predominantly quarters, some days mostly pennies and some days a mix of all coins. It makes no sense. I think it is pure chance.
