Do Any Old Times Have A Explorer SE?

As having an explorer II and have had some of the best people "My Opinion" teach me how to use it. I have seen the new model but would really some opinions on this model over the Explorer II. Thanks dudes :)

A little easier on the back and I like the screen better. Larger #s no icons. The settings are a tad handier. As far as "my machines better than your machine" I see no depth or ID difference. An Explorer is an Explorer is an Explorer. I have had the other two models and bought this one cause I was taking a chance that I could hunt without as much pain with the new changes in weight and balance.
So far its working for me. If your looking to upgrade and the money is no problem its a nice change.

Thanks for the info Bob. I don't think we have ever talked but congrats on some of your recent finds. I have been going back and checking some of the recent posts. Yea in my opinion you won't get any deeper until the voltage is really stepped up! But the faster processor might work better for those guys that are impatient and swing to fast! I've learned to go slow and now that's what I like and it has really paid off for me.

You are right about "An Explorer is an Explorer is an Explorer" I believe the explorer line up is about the best on the market as far all the detectors I have used!

Congrats on your finds Bob!!!!

When I slowed down and worked between the iron signals is when the lawn started producing. I knew better but still made that stupid error of not working the Explorer.

I have had 3 exp xs xs2 and se the seem to have the same depth but the 2 things that I really like about the se is pitch hold and vco pinpointing the menu is handy don't have to go though learn and edit on the detect button hope this helps HH RonC

You really are learning the explorer!!!!! That's where it really excells is in trashy areas my opinion :) But then again I've dug indian heads at 10" and told the guy before I dug them what it was. The guy name was brillo from cincy. He said he wouldn't have believed if he didn't see it! I was able to tell him if it was trash or treasure!

So all in all the explorer is the way to go!
