After an non-productive early morning goose hunt, loaded up the dive gear and made a return trip to try and find a rumored lost item of gold in the water.

The Treasure God's blessed me today, not just once, but 4 times..... and found that item!

Here's some pics:

(gold in left hand, silver in right)

found both tangled together by weeds in a clump

Fat 14kt necklace, heavy 14kt necklace/cross, heavy 925 necklace/cross and Old Gold men's ring

looks like it's marked 19kt or 18kt, or maybe 10 and the zero got mis-stamped, but it tested at least 14kt... 6.34gr

It could have been alot worse, the weeds are pretty thick and the bottom has a couple inches of silt that gets all stirred up quickly. After a few minutes you are basically working blind and by feel only. Used almost 2 tanks

Very nice gold and silver finds.
Congratulations. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Every so often, a guy has to go back and have a look at the old posts..for medicinal purposes and whatnot!
Mud.

Wow. Finding any one of those items nowadays would probably be my find of the year...maybe decade. I started metal detecting too late! Shoulda been here years ago.
