Found this Dive Dynamics rafting "wet suit" ...
neoprene 5mm
good for metal detecting / wading ?

I have a 7 mil wet suit which i bought new and was able to try it on prior to purchase... i find my suit good for use in early fall when water and or air temps are a little too chilly for wading without it... i find a good pair of neoprene chest waders keeps me much warmer and dry ,the only drawback is you go as deep as you could with a wetsuit on.. its supposed to get up into the low 70s tommorrow, water temps are probably in the 50s already so i might give it a go tomorrow. .. problem is once you get too chilly it's not so much fun and ive had a cold for like 3 weeks already... im no expert on the subject by any means... trying the suit on prior to purchase is best... if you already own it just try it out in water waist deep for a while to see how it feels and then proceed deeper as you feel more comfortable. ...

Oh ya..just an fyi, most wetsuit have the zipper on the rear instead of the front.. i have to use a little wet suit lube to get into mine as it is rather snug...

Where do you hunt, state? And what kind of hunting..in the water, chest deep, shallow?

I am in Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This is my first try at deeper than ankle water hunting.
I think that I might go to chest deep ...

Did not buy yet but I am thinking of new season.
1280x is on the way.
Don't plan to go into water if it is colder than 15 C / 60 F.

This can be one of choices.

I will try one of them ... if they fit season will begin after winter

I use just a diving vest, shorts, and dive skin until the water gets a little under 70........ then a Mares long sleve shortie that goes to my knees and zips across the front. You just step in and dont have to fight the zipper in the back. A full wet suit with the zipper in the back is a pain to get in and out of...... i mean a PAIN. I dont like the short sleeve version....... cold water gets to the arm pits and you get cold fast. Mine is 6.5 MM....... but a bit heavier repels the water, drys fast, and lasts a lot longer.

fit is everything. It has to "snug" but not so tight it restricts movement. It should have a good seal around the wrists and ankles. If it's too loose it will have a lot of water flowing through it and you will still be cold.
