Display light not working.

Hi all and maybe someone has run in to this? I've had my EXII for five years and untill this weekend (I don't look so good anymore) had never used the display light as I mostly hunt with tones. Well I should say I tried to use it doesn't seem to work? Everything else seems fine. Anyone?
 
Try pushing the button quite a few times. If you haven't used it, it may just need to make contact (possible oxidation). I have a couple of EX II's apart right now, I will see if it could be something else.

Does it have a contrast setting option. I have a SE Pro and a XS and they do, so check that and be sure it is set around 5 or 6 (or whatever looks best to you). Hope that is the problem, b/c it is an easy fix. It happened to me as well and I even called Minelab. Happy Hunting!
