Here are some ideas to think about doing when you cant get out detecting this winter.
First is a simple, very cheap frame with hinged lid. Bought it at Wally World.

And here it is on display. It's easy to change or add things this way.

Next is a cigar box with the fuzzy flox inside. These can be picked up free from cigar vendors, restaurants, etc.

And here it is with my overall button collection from along the railroad lines.

Lastly, is a box I bought at a thrift store for very little, drilled out the coin sizes and epoxied them in. Neat to keep all kinds of things in it.
By keeping your finds on display you see them frequently and remember the fun you had digging . Also, I find that seeing them encourages me to get out detecting again. Steve in so az

Great and simple ideas! Thanks! :) By the way I got a very cool RR button in VA. Pics and details later!

The top Picture is of one token I found from a furniture store in my town. Its from the 1920's or 1930's. I then found information and pictures of the building and put it together in a frame.
The 2nd picture is the same frame up on our bathroom wall with some other junk, I mean stuff I've collected.

Geg - that sure is a nice way you have researched and presented things about the furniture store token. Good job.
I have an old saloon star fob that I have been collecting info on like yours. Just cant find much for it so far. Was a turn of the century place down town, Steve

yard and garage sales, you can find old pic frames or boxes and etc. to use for very little cost! If they are old, they match what antiques you find! Congrats on detecting and displaying!

God Bless!
Betty

thank you for sharing all of your display ideas with us Steve. I find it very interesting.

jewelery "what's it" at a garage sale for a couple of bucks. The lady looked at me like I was a Michael Jackson or something. At the time I was doing garage sales at about 200-300 a year, jewelery was one of the things that I looked for. I couls sell the jewelery and a case for a profit.
The top shelf are real rings. The middle shelf has junk rings and earings and the bottom shelf has junk jewelery. They are all MD'ing find's.
