I am thinking of getting a disc 3300 for a back up and tot lot machine.I have had them in the past, on the old ones when using pinpoint all discrimination settings were lost . You had to reset after each pinpoint use.Is this the case with the new ones with black housing instead of grey. Do they still lose settings?

Thanks Langsy. The Disc series had the best ergonomics ,light weight and could accurately id coins at depth.I bought my first one as a back up and for my wife to use.I soon found myself grabbing it instead of my XLT. I have since used Teks and Fishers but I have'nt found any machine to beat the Discoveries with 4'' coil around fences and getting up close to rebar enforced concrete.Great Tot Lot machines. Gonna get another one.
