Discovery 3300 10" coil

Hey All,

I just recently purchased the 10" coil for my Discovery 3300 and I was wondering why it seems of a lesser quality than the standard 8" coil that came with the detector, and YES it is a genuine bounty hunter 10" coil I purchased. Also, will the coil protector I purchase give me less of signal when I''m detecting. Do you get a stronger signal without it?

The coil cover does not effect depth.
