Discovered a feature about my X-Terra 50 that no machine I've ever owned has,,,, :)

It's called the new AUTO ON function, either that...... or it's posessed. First time I discoved this, it happened while I was traveling down the road with my X-Terra in the passenger seat covered with a towel. I heard a noise coming from the machine, so I lifted the towel and saw that the machine was on. I thought...did I leave my machine on all night. I looked at the battery level and it was full... hmmm, good batteries.
Next time this new option tried to let me know about it was the next day. My daughter climbed into my truck to go to town with me, I reached over to move the machine and bumped on the console while it was still covered with a towel. My daughter asked my was that funny noise was. Again I lifted the towel and saw that the machine was on again. I know I'm getting a little older and a bit forgetful these days and I thought to myself....did I leave my machine on again ????? Checked the battery level....still full. Naw, no way is the machine turning itself on. Now today, I went to my truck and picked the X-terra up to put it in the back seat of my truck, sat it down and low and behold I hear the overload signal again?????
Tonight I went to a buddies house to test the X-terra against a X-5 and a Tesoro on low conductive targets. I will say that the X-terra hits as good as both higher frequency machines on lower conductive targets. We sat down and had a beer and I told him about the new hidden feature of the X-terra, he just kinda looked at me and nodded and offered me another beer. When I got home and grabbed the machine to take it into the house, I bumped it against the steering wheel and turned the machine on again without pushing the power button. I came in and started tapping on the housing, the coil and the shaft trying to get it to come on. It seems that it has a mind of it's own.
Looks like I'll call Dick at Minelab and let him know that they need to apply for the new Auto-Bump On patent :) Hey...It's still a great machine that performs very good
