Discontinued, or Vintage Tesoros

I have noticed that some of the older machines seem to be HOT sellers on the detecting forums, as well as e-bay. I have seen some that I would love to own, but they bring alot of money, so I always just buy a new model. It seems to me that Tesoro should start producing some of these older machine models. I currently own a Tiger Shark, Silver u-max, and a Cibola(plus a couple other makes of other brands). The only thing I seem to be missing is the ground balance feature(of course the Tiger has it). But where I hunt, the ground mineralization is not too bad, except for an occaisional "patch" or two.

A good percentage of the older machines do pretty well. They were the latest thing at one time and that doesn't get worse as newer comes along. I have 2 Silver Sabre umax, a Conquistador and an Eldorado umax and I'm digging my share of targets with them. I haven't felt much pressure to move up, partly because I have a fairly complete coil selection that fits all of them.

Cool! I'm kinda happy with my machines, too. Some of those older models look tempting, though.....

Pretty obvious that they all hold their value for years!

It seems to me that interest in older Tesoro has risen, because there are no new models for over 4 years.
