So, I got asked by a home owner to come over and chech his yard, he lives on 3 city lots and the house was built in 1910, I thought this was going to be a score for sure, boy was I wrong (so far). Invited two buddies over to cover more area, The ground was pretty dry and we did find over $10 in clad after two hours, not a single wheat penny or silver, Did well on the hotwheels though! Will hit it a few more times, but on a the first pass so far this is a bust.

Old homes can be real deceiving.You never know how much landscaping has been done over the past 100 years.
You may not be finding anything old because there has been fresh top soil brought in to level off the yard or something.
I've been to places that FEET not inches were added to bring the yard up to the level of the front door.

Sometimes after you remove all the shallow targets the deeper, Older, items then start to appear. Good Luck.
