I haven't posted for a while and sorry for not replying to some of the nice finds by you fellows. Had some computer problems and been busy getting my 5th wheel trailer cleaned up and making sure everything works before our trip to Montana in June.
I did better then I expected to on Sat at our club hunt. Went to yet another pounded park and it started out very slow. Got a little bit of clad and a couple of wheaties and then out pops a 44 war nickel. I was going so slow even the snails were passing me by. I kept telling myself that there has got to be some more silver at this place and then I got a high tone and dug up a 1960 rosie. That put a smile on my face for sure. Had about a half hour left before our lunch break and I got this little bit of a high sound. One of those iffy signals, but it was reading about six inches deep so I knew it might be worth digging. Dug my plug and saw this bit of silver and it was a 1907 Barber dime. Rechecked my hole and got another signal and it was a 1904 Indian. Guess you could call it a small pocket spill and the oldest one that I have ever dug. Got another wheat and then it was lunch time. My buddy Lee got a 1920 merc and some wheats and one of the gals got a silver quarter and Jim got a 1900 v-nickel. Other then that there wasn
