DIGS O' THE DAY

You had a Great Outing . But you need to take a towel or rag with you so that you can put the loose dirt on the towel and put the dirt back in the hole.. You had a Great Story but with all the loose dirt it looked terrible.

Another literary masterpiece. Thanks again!

How can you tell, since you only saw pictures of my open holes? I didn't post any "after" photos on this outing.

But here are some from two hunts previous:

Try tellin' me THAT ain't a tidy hole, eh? Wish I could say they were all that tidy. But I'd be lyin' if I said they were. Still, I do fill 'em in pretty neatly.

And in answer to your very sound advice, I occasionally DO carry a rag for that purpose. But most of the time, with our sandy soil, I am able to "dust off" the grass after I fill in the hole, rendering the plug practically invisible. The only time I have a problem is when the soil is pretty loose and the plug falls apart.

PS- be careful, there, Ninja-man! But maybe they'd be worth askin' permission at!

I do love an old Victorian yard, for dang sure!

PS to goldnugget-

Top left picture in this series- I had dug at least six or eight holes in that grass by the time that picture was taken.

See any of 'em?

Nope, I didn't think so.
