A Nickel will read between a 5-6 unless it is on edge and sometimes it will read a 4 when this happens. The Silver War Nickel reads a 7-8. 23-25 will be where the Indian Head Penny will fall and your Wheat Pennies will fall in 26 (older Wheats) and 27-28 for the rest of them. You will not find any Steel Cents. The Dimes read 28 and the Quarters will read 28-30. The Half-Dollar will read between 27-28. One way to tell the Quarters and Halves apart is to jump over to Smart Find and if the cursor is on the very top right locked onto the side down one, this is a Quarter. Down one more will be the Half and Down another spot will be where your Silver Dollar will read. Half Dimes read 25 also. Gold Jewelery will land in the Pull Tab range and lower,23 and down. Hope this helps out a bit.
