Digital Vs. Smartscreen. Help!

Is there a performance loss with using the digital screen? I really do not care what I dig as long as it is not iron. So seeing where the crosshairs fall is irrelevant to me. Just concerned I may be giving up performance so I feel like I am swingin' the ole' XLT. Thanks in advance : )

just turn on iron mask and set it low. at least -14 and push detect to switch to digital.. iron mask works in both modes.. that will knock out most iron and you can dig everything else.. But since you dont care where it falls on the screen you shouldnt care where it reads digitally either?.. If you want to dig everything but iron you can pretty much do it in either mode

that some people dont realize that in either mode you are still running in what ever disc pattern you were running in on the other mode. I think some think that to run in iron mask you must be on the smart screen.. but that is not true
