Digital Readings...... a clarification

At the outset, "thank-you" to all who responded to my inquirey concerning the Exporer digital readings.
It is NOT my intention to rely on numeric readings alone. I've been hunting too long for that.
My ear is pretty good......I think. Been tweaking the sounds and I hope I can get a little more range in tone. In defference and respect to my old XLT....it did have that and I'll have to adjust.

Basically your XLT had approx. 195 tones and an Explorer has 28...just forget about the XLT and ingrain that tone dime and above in your mind by running a dime over the coil and also a nickel to get that tone down..Once you do your on your way..
Would not advise switching between the two units as you will certainly get confused..Take your time and all will fall into place...
