Well Guys, Like I stated a week ago, I ordered the Black Model SONY CYBERSHOT A-30, and it was suppose to be in at BEST BUYS on 12/27/07!! But, on 12/26/07, I was driving through an area of my neighborhood, that has a small camera/video shop. I had been in the shop one other time, but I wasn't sure it was still in business until I drove by it on 12/26/07. On 12/27/07, I took a shot, and called the little camera shop, and to My Surprise, they carried the PENTAX W-30 in stock!! Best of ALL, they were selling it for $279.95, and PENTAX has a $30.00 Mail-In Rebate Offer good until
Jan.31, 2008!! This brings the actual $310 retail price down to $250, and PENTAX is INCLUDING an Additional 2yr. Extended Warranty with the camera at No Additional Cost!! So, I decided to go and check out the W-30. INSTANT ROMANCE!! This camera is IDIOT PROOF, and was Made For ME!! So Much EASIER TO UNDERSTAND/OPERATE than the SONY CYBERSHOT/CANON POWESHOTS!! So, that night I went to BEST BUYS to see if they could order that camera for me, and as I had remembered on a previous visit, they COULD NOT ORDER IT for me!! So, I cancelled my purchase of the SONY CYBERSHOT, and on Monday 12/31/07, I will be returning to my local camera shop to PURCHASE the PENTAX W-30. Also, my local camera shop sells a memory board that has a LIFETIME GUARANTEE, and its CHEAPER than the SONY to purchase!! The SONY Memory Board doesn't have that!! One other thing, the sales clerk at my local camera shop THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED/SHOWED the W-30 to me, and she advised me, that PENTAX Cameras are VERY WELL MADE, and HAVE VERY FEW PROBLEMS!! The Repair Order Sheet that her shop has for sending customers cameras in for repair CONFIRMED THAT!! Out of approx. 100 or more cameras, there were ONLY (2) Older Model PENTAX CAMERAS on that list, which had probably every brand of camera manufactured on that list, because she SHOWED ME THE LIST!! That is great that your persistence paid off and you got the W-30 at the price you wanted. You are going to love that camera. Thanks for letting me know about the $30. rebate, I think it's time for me to purchase my W-30. I know my 4 year Optio 5i is still the best camera I have owned and it is idiot proof. The picture quality is unbelievable.

Funny how the mom and pop stores normally have better deals than the big box stores!

THANKS bbqbul, I don't think I'm going to make that trip the way I wanted to!! I've got some Immediate Home Repairs, that I need to address!! Hopefully, I can slip away to Florida for a couple of
weeks in FEB.! Then come back for March, and then drive to Florida for the Entire Month of April, because I want to attend The GREAT SOUTHERN BEACH SHOOTOUT Competition Hunt at
Daytona Beach this year!! I was in the Very First One they had about (5)yrs. ago, and haven't been able to get back down for it since, due to Personal Family Obligations!! But, UNFORTUNATELY

GREAT to hear from you, Adam!! Personally, I don't think my heart could handle it, if I found a Big G-O-L-D Ring!! I only got (2) Gold Rings this year, and I DID ALOT of saltwater beach hunting, especailly Ocean Hunting, and NOT ONE PIECE of G-O-L-D for Alot of EFFORT!! Furthermore, I hunt with Zero Discrim., and DIG EVERY TARGET!! I guess I'm in SOME KIND OF RUTT!!
Even dirt hunting I'm not finding anything other than TRASH & CLAD!! I dirt hunted for (3) hrs. today at (2) different sites using my WHITES M-6. First Site: All TRASH and Not Even One Clad Coin!!
My hunting partner got some clad and some trash!! 2nd Site: We both got Clad Coins, and some trash!! Went out Wed. Morning with another hunting partner to a Demolished Home Site ( Old Home Site, possibly Colonial, I'm not sure) Took my Sov-GT, hunting partner had EXPLORER XS, and we detected for approx. 1 1/2hrs. Hunting partner got 61 Rosie, (2) Indian Heads, and some Clad, and I got Deep Old Farming IRON, piece of aluminum pie plate and an aluminum T.V. Dinner Tray buried 5in. Down INSIDE an Old Rotted Out TREE (t.v. tray came in as a SOLID 180 while buried in the ground and after removed)!! Also, I RE-CHECKED the Hole Before FILLING IT IN!! Best Find was a Brass 30-30 or 30 Odd Six Casing!! I KNOW THERE'S A G-O-L-D Coin OUT THERE with my NAME ON IT!! When I get frustrated, I got to Cry About It or I would have to FIND A NEW HOBBY!! HAPPY NEW YEAR Buddy!! Les
 
Just picked up the PENTAX W-30, and I was also able to get the AQUAPAC Waterproof Camera Case (Waterproof to 15ft.), that MAT in MA recommended!!
My local camera shop CAMERAS ETC. carries quite a large selection of Waterproof Cases, such as PELICAN WATERPROOF CASES, and they usually DISCOUNT the items a few bucks. My AQUAPAC retails for $30, and they discounted it to $27.99, NO SALES TAX in DELAWARE! Happy New YEAR
