digging with Vernon

Played hookey from work for 1/2 a day and went digging with Vernon. After a nice double cheeseburger lunch we headed to a spot nearby that has produced yankee cavalry relics for me. Vernon has been stacking too much wood and overdeveloped his arms, he broke his shovel after only about an hour. Since his spares were in his truck over 20 miles away, away we went to the shovel store and he bought a new one.

We went back to the same area but a different site. Did not take long to find a good signal, round green brass is always nice to see in the dirt. Another flat button, this site has been loaded with them.

My finds for the day, a variety of bullets and the last signal of the day just before dark was a nice rifle nose cap, very crude made.

Not many bullets but I like the variety, Burnside, Sharps, Enfield and a .44 Henry. Thanks for coming along Vernon, I had a good time. Lets do it again soon.
