DIGGING TOOLS

Greetings, everyone!
Just received my Tracker IV for my 49th birthday today and was wondering what people recommend for digging tools. I'll be using this machine mainly in grass and dirt, not in beaches. Thank you!!!

I have a medium sized fanny pack that had a plastic trowel, a flat blade screwdriver a 10" long 1/8" dia probe, a Harbor Freight pinpointer and a $2 Walmart serrated kitchen knife with an 6" blade for cutting out a plug. I also have a super cool little shovel I got at Walmart for $10.

Thank you for the informative reply, mwaynebennett. I REALLY like the idea of the serrated-edge knife as the ground gets pretty hard and the little roots are bothersome.

here's a pic of my tools Its a fiskers garden knife with a lifetime warranty

Lowes has a good one called Ames true temper it cost about 13 dollars and has a lifetime warranty. Also check out the am leonard soil cutter that will be my next digger amleo.com it has a lifetime warranty also.

Thanks, tenedy, especially for the pic. I saw some of dem sticks dere somewheres outside. Squirrels keep knockin' 'em outta de trees, I tink.

I carry a backpack with all kinds of stuff. Digging tools, pinpointer, plastic siffing dishes, plastic bags, orange flags to mark hits and even a handheld GPS to mark a place to come back to, knee pad plus much more.
My wife thinks I am nuts, (she could be right ) but it nice to have it if I need it.

Thank you, drummerman. So far, my wife is fine with it all. I got lucky, my wife is fine with anything as long as I'm happy. Am I blessed or what?

Greetings, drummerman.
I didn't "find" her. She was given to me. You know, to take care of, love and nurture, until she's to be "returned".
