Digging the trash

Went to an old school that is no longer being used except by people who rent the gym, etc. I know this place has been hit hard in the past but I thought I would go and dig all the pulltab and foil signals that everyone else did not dig. I was going to dig any coins signals too of course. I took the X70 and teh 6" dd 18.75 coil. The coins were not very plentyful but I was not expecting them to be. I only had an hour to detect and this is what I came up with. The nickel was 6" down and gave a good strong signal but it was jumping in the pulltab zone.

nice "silver" nickel...being about half silver probably confused the id on the x-70...nice find!

That silver war Nickle is a very good find! Congrats on the hunt. You got a nice find by digging signals others ignored, Beale.

Bill, You will be surprised at the good targets you will find by doing what your doing ...remember that a lot of jewelry falls in the same area as pulltabs and most people will either notch them out of disc. them out.. I have found that it takes about digging 300 or so pulltabs for each piece of jewelry... Nickel rate will be much higher but you will also get coins that were masked by the tabs...Take care, Richard
