Digging shovel

You are correct. I personally use the Leech Relic Hunter shovel. This shovel is 32' in length with a T handle and a serrated edge on one side of the spade. It serves me well for the type of hunting I do. I 'm sure you will get a lot of replies. Best of luck to you on your search. One more thing. While the Leech shovels tend to be a bit pricey, they are very well made and will last for years. I have had mine now for about 8 years. They are also great to use around the home for smaller landscaping projects, so don't let the price run you off. They are worth it. JMHO.

Get a military type shovel that converts from straight forward to 90 degrees for chopping, you need this type shovel so when you hit roots you can chop them with ease.
I got one off eBay for 20$ used and it works great. I've also got a 60$ shovel made just for metal detecting & it's a darn good one but it can't chop roots like my swivel style military shovel.

Take a look at Predator shovels and diggers. Same price range as Leech, but even better quality. And made in the USA. They have a model I like called the Little Eagle. Not quite as intrusive looking as the longer handle and blade styles. For parks and school yards, I use their hand trowel diggers. Has a seriated edge and available in right or left hand digging. Yeah, and I copied your spelling of it, Confetrit. :( Leech is a good bait for walleyes up north, though. HH jim tn
I noticed that too. I thought maybe both our spell checks were conspiring against us. You know how everything is a conspiracy these days. Lol

Spell check baited us, (pun intended) and let the word be used. Ok, back to shovels. There are a lot of good one available. HH jim tn
