digging only low tones

Has anybody set their disc to around 65 or so and only dig the low tones ? I tried this today and i dug a ton of pull tabs ,nickels , can slaw , and some foil , so i know im on the right track. just wanted to know how this has worked out for others and where the set their disc to , I wish the low tone scale on the G2 was larger so i could have my low tone go from around a 47 vdi to about a 75 vdi that would be perfect, maybe thats a update that could be done for a charge , hint hint , any input on hunting like this with low tones would be great , thanks

Hi spellman.

I have never run my GP Pro with discrimination set that high because I would be wiping out too much small gold, which is the whole reason I have the GB Pro.

If I run with discrimination, the maximum I set for is about 35.

These days, I typically run in All Metal and use the target id range as my guide.

I wish it has a VDI numerical readout in allmetal.not that graph thingy-mind you it does work and is a nice funtion but I could see people with vision problems not liking it.
