Digging History............. again

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
Everyone might be getting tired of looking at bullets, but that is what I have been digging lately with a few coins mixed in. I was bored to death in history class in high school but 40 years later I have taken an interest in the Civil War, very interesting reading and every bullet I dig is a direct link back to that era. We had another beautiful day in the 40's so I took advantage of it and got a few hours to hunt. The usual bullets, a 47 wheat and the smashed top of a fountain pen. It was nice to be able to get out and hunt a week before Christmas.

I found a nice long piece of white patina lead at a park Sunday. No clue what it was for but it sure is heavy. Nice finds!

I'm very impressed. Sure wished I was out there too. HH, Nancy
