Digging Good holes

Rob (IL)

New member
Larry and I got out for a 3.5 hour hunt yesterday. We pulled up in the school parking lot and started hunting the practice field. In a few minutes a guy came up and asked, "What are you doing?" He said the the property belonged to the church and was only leased to the school and they didn't want anyone digging it up. We explained we did a good job of digging but he said he didn't care. We said we were sorry and moved to the actual school property. I was laughing to myself :wiggle: because the last time we were there we dug 308 quarters and they never noticed were we had dug them. I quess we know how to recover a target.

We still picked up 56 quarters and about $18.00 in change. We'll see what happens today. Rob

Looks like the Lord paid you a gift (all the quarters) in advance to be calm and nice to someone who didn't want you there on church property.

Some people like to show their authority,:ranting: makes em feel better I guess. Did they mark the property line for you?

HH. James

 I have to agree with James and Groundshaker. James "Did they mark the property line for you?" Larry....No, but he DID tell us where to go................on the other side of the driveway...

I think the guy just had a bad day and was taking it out on us. Stop and think for just a second...........................most of our finds were popped out of the ground with a screwdriver yet he let's a High School football team practice there...................Duhhhhhhh...........He didn't want the ground dug up was his first excuse until I showed him what I use to recover the coins, then he said it was an insurance matter. I apologized for the misunderstanding we we all went on our way.

Even though you guys got a lot of quarters by popping them out of the ground, lots were dug also. Do we know how to leave the ground looking untouched or what! Way to go guys!!!!! HH to all, Nancy
