Diggin in Palm Beach Cty Fl parks

I have been in contact with a senior Park Ranger from Palm Beach
County Fl. concerning detecting and digging with diggers only in Palm Beach county parks.
I have sent them some information, photos of digger and what a plug looks like. They are concerned that
we dig up the land. I am trying to convince them that we only dislodge a plug and restore the ground
to its original shape. I'm am due to have a telephone meeting with them on Monday, Sept. 23.

I will keep you informed of all new developments

You all don't even have real dirt do you? I mean its more sand than anything, so how can you "Plug" it? but for that matter how can you hurt anything if you toss the sand back in the hole.

Apparently the park officials look the other way when golfers scalp the grass or think another detectorist has been there. Good luck with your meeting. HH :fisher::minelab::teknetics:

Golfers have been banned from the school yards in my area because of the grass scalping that kills the grass and takes a long while to fill in by itself. So far they continue to allow detecting since we have not destroyed the school yards the way the golfers had.

Good luck on your quest for a positive ruling.
