Anyone seen this show on National Geographic? It came on last night and I caught two episodes. They use Garrett AT Pros and find some pretty cool stuff. I think they over inflate the value of whatever they pull out of the ground and use some annoying terms but its a decent show. Only drawback I see is a flood of new people not knowing how to dig plugs tearing up the public places. They don't show the proper way to recover a target during the show. And they don't show the trash vs keeper ratio at all. They make it look like every signal is going to be good and dig it all type of thing. It is definately made for the public and not the hobbiest.

Yeah they definitely are. I had to put my two cents in but I was far kinder than most. I could care less how these guys acted on the show. As far as I could tell they were respectful of the property and the finds. I've came across far more grumpy antisocial people while detecting. I just wish they set aside time to show how the detectors work, proper target retrieval, trash collection, etc. More education and less profiteering.
