diggers

It was just what I expected no pull tabs no bottle caps and I didn't see or hear anything about covering your holes

I enjoyed it for the entertainment factor. Knowing how reality TV works I'd say it was about what I expected..

Was made more for entertainment, with the bets and all. Bad thing is it made me want to go digging, and we just got 8 inches of fresh, wet, heavy, nasty snow.

I enjoyed the show. It must be nice to get invited to detect places! Maybe we should all get a camera crew and we will get invited to detect some places!!!!!

Seriously... this show is a train wreck. Two nut-jobs running around like rabid squirrels digging nasty looking holes everywhere. They are using some sort of made up language... I've never heard anything like juice, nectar, rounds,??? I am so disappointed... they jumped up and down and inflate the value of their finds. $1 each for a spent blank rifle casings... really??? $5 for an old empty toothpaste tube??? I think this show, and these two guys, have done great harm. This show will be the reason folks are thrown off of public grounds. No mention of the code of ethics, no mention of how to properly cut a plug and retrieve a target... Just a bunch of digging holes and claiming how much the target is worth. No follow up with landowners or good samaritan finds... just sell the stuff for cash on camera. So much for history, teaching and discretion.

Wish they would at least mentioned the hunters code of ethics, not that great of publicity for our great hobby!!! I've driven by that prison a hundred times in deer lodge, mont.very disappointing!! I agree must be nice to get that Kind of permission, the average guy would never get to hunt there!!!

Money talks, and I am sure the State, County (whoever owned the lands), got payed well...I hate how everything on TV has to be monetized...The one thing I liked is it did not seem like they were planting their finds...It looked like they were actually digging up what was already there...The language I can tolerate, as My group of guys has it's own little code words for stuff too...I can even tolerate the goofiness, as I get goofy too, but the putting dollar amounts on items and immediately selling off everything you find just makes us look like a bunch of looters...I am at least glad they mentioned that they got permission to hunt all the sites they went to, and that they were not just driving by places and hunting them...It was about what I expected though...I will watch the show, but do not agree with everything they do, but who is going to agree with everything anyone does???

HH,

Those guys dug some huge holes in my opinion. Out in the woods I might use a larger hole, but when I'm on a lawn I go the smallest hole I can and still find the coin. They made some nice finds, but they might spook some people considering letting a metal detector hobbyist on their property. Six of one, half dozen of another.
