"Diggers" 2013?

Hello everyone, The other day I was channel surfing on the TV and caught the tail end of a commercial promoting what looked like a new metal detecting show coming out this year. I'm not sure what channel this was on or the name of the show but the impression I got was that it resembled last years "diggers" show that definitely in my opinion ended up being a bust. Can anyone reflect on this? Is it true...........is there a new show coming out or is it just re-runs of shows from the past? Either way these type of shows are hurting our hobby and what really hurts is when i hear the words like ""juice" and "nectar" in the same sentence with the words metal detecting! Sorry Tim and George but you guys need to go................thanks everyone! J.B.

It's the second season of the same show. It must have done well enough to go again. I watched the two shows that have aired for 2013 and it's the same. My kids, 13 & 9 laugh at how these guys act and what they say. The worst part is their made up slang for finds and when they do "find" an old relic they act insane and hang from tree limbs and flip around like Daffy Duck. This is what people will see and the reason they will not want us looking around their property. It will be nice to see a show with a seasoned detectorist and some real history behind their finds. Or maybe a show that follows different types of hunters in different areas of the country and the world. Until then it's just these two clowns.

I AGREE the conduct of these people is very unprofessional and it in no way reflects the majority of the good metal detectorists in my area or hopefully the rest of our nation. Truly a couple of totally rank amateurs unsucessfully trying to make a quick buck!! - Kabarcoinin

I gave this show another try. I watched 2 more shows. Even my wife wants to write the show about how stupid it is. The best part of the show is when they show old pictures, talk to historians and show the old properties. The worst part is the metal detecting and actors. Nobody acts like that!

It says it all! Absolutely Hilarious. Hope the "Diggers" watched it! Last year I emailed. NAT GEO to post my displeasure in the way we were displayed. I think they toned it down a bit but I think its still WAY over the top.

Did anyone notice that the sounds of the detectors are fake? The pinpointed sounds start before they have them in their hands. My AT pro doesn't, sound like theirs .

I'm pretty sure I noticed a medium tone on their Large Cent. Although I haven't found one shouldn't that have been a high tone being 100% copper? Plus they rarely show a coin in it's natural state. It's always right in the middle of very loose soil if they even show it? Even I make my videos where you get to see it at the moment it's dug. The show smells bad from here.

That show is a bunch of crap that should have never made it on the air..the people who star in it need to be ashamed of themselves...it is not good for our hobby in any way...IT'S GARBAGE
