Looking for any info. on a Ames Digger. Have heard good things about it, but can not find any info. on it, or even what it looks like. Only thing I do know is that it is sold at Home Depot. Checked at my local one.. no help..
Hi JD. I have this digger and it has been a good all around digger for me. I think I bought mine at Lowes. The sharp edge lets you cut a good plug out of tight sod without doing much damage to the grass. The serrated edge lets you cut thru small tree and shrub roots easily. I don't know how durable it will be and don't know how easy it is to sharpen as I haven't had to do so as yet, but I figure that I can replace it several times for the price of some of the more expensive diggers. Mine didn't come with a "holster" so I hang it from my belt loop with a D-ring on a short cord.
I just got one at home depot it cost $12.00 was on sale for $9.00 it looks and feel real rugged. I got a good picture of one but i can't get the picture in this message ill keep trying.
