Hello everyone, i just purchased my first MD today , cant wait fer my mxt to get here. everyone thinks im crazy talking about gold prospecting and md'ing. i just hope i can prove them all wrong, and have a great time doing it. theres alot of great info in here , thank you everyone, it really helped to make a decision on what md to get. i was torn between the mxt and gmt, as i live in colorado, but i did want a more versitile machine to learn with so as it goes i found a lightlly used mtx on ebay and won the aucion at $545, with extra shooter coil. Im out in illinois now and hope it continues to warm up so i can get out and use it at some parks out here near the old I&M canal, and in two weeks am going to florida for a few weeks , so i will get to see how it performs in a few different areas in a short amount of time . I'll keep u all posted , and im exited to be a part of this forum as well, happy hunting!!!!!

Welcome aboard. How exciting. You'll be hooked in no time and we can't wait to hear about your adventures with your new machine. Good luck and HH, Nancy

thank you everyone, it should be here tomorrow, with the snow melting , hope to test it out this weekend, have some tiny gold flakes from panning, so i can see how sensitive it is , also going to detect around my friends house built in 1900, it also has a dirt floor in the basement to check out, went over to his house yesterday and found some clad just looking around, also his lawn is going to be tilled and reseeded this spring so dont have to worry about digging it all up as im sure there may be alot of trash targets, think it will be a great place for my first practice runs, HH jack

Maybe you might need some help with that yard. :detecting: I'm excited for you. Hopefully you'll be able to rescue some old coins from there and possibly some cool old relics. I love old yards like that. Good luck and keep us posted. HH, Nancy
