Dig Everything Hunt

This is using my Classic 3SL with Mr Bills Mods and a 5.5 inch Ferret coil.I just dug everything to see what it was using very low disc or BlackSand Mode.
I didn't put all the coins in the pic.Just a few.The one nickel is a 1943 P.I think it is suppose to have maybe 40% silver but not sure. The larger multi sided disc is brass and very heavy. It is about 3/16" thick and a little bigger round than a Silver Dollar. The very small .22 cal bullets hit real well. Some of the targets are appear to be melted metal of some kind but not lead.I also found a brass clock winder handle,a junk ring with 3 stones,a trade token,A brass buckle,a few small brass buttons,a very small toy tank, part of a fishing lure, fishing reel handle, half of a brass heart shaped locket,2 very rare brass shotgun bottoms,I'm not sure what the 2 larger round things are.the round thing to the left of the nickle is a dime that's been smashed by something. There are some odd shaped things that I have no idea what they are. Also a silvery metal brooch with 2 blue stones. These are just a few odd and ends that were fun just digging up.I have too many coins to put in the picture right now.I will post them some other time. This 6.59 KHZ machine has no trouble at all hitting the Lower and High conductors. It Does love bullets, lead, and brass and gold. Most of these targets were in extreme trash with ferrous and non-ferrous mixed in.I found an extremely tiny brass item that's unknown but I can't remember where I placed it.It's about 1/4 the size of a dime.I sure Thankful Monte sold this detector to me a long time ago! His lost is My Gain! It works Great for relics as well as coins! Thanks again Monte for selling me a Hot Classic-3SL with a Hot Ferret Coil!!!!

And we can't forget to give credit to an excellent detector (and coil), and I sure wish White's would have worked at making one up-scale improvement in the Classic line and educated dealers on just how good they are. I am still looking for another IDX Pro, and I now have about 5 or 6 local detectorists who want me to locate a Classic ID, Classic III SL or IDX Pro for them ... and a smaller coil, too, such as the 5.3 BullsEye. they are excellent for working homesteads, ghost towns, and similar heavily trashed sites.

I wish you the best in future searches.

Thanks Monte!
I didn't find any museum pieces but like I said..It was Fun! There are some older detectors that really are outdated compared to today's standards but I agree you that Whites should have made the Mods themselves and Promoted them.If the dealers really knew how to use the detector but as you know Some but Not all dealers see too many $ signs in front of their eyes thinking "Higher Priced Detectors" Have to be better!
Just because a new type of fishing lure comes on the market that doesn't mean the fish no longer bites the older one any longer! New Can be better in some ways but it's not always the case.Their are some Excellent Analog Detectors in use today that can easily keep up with today's machines as far just finding things.I don't think depth improved Drastically in the last several years but their are some brands now that really excel in target separation and fast recovery and to Me that is more important for the way I hunt.If I want to go Cache Hunting which I rarely do..then I'll just slap a large coil on.I search trashy, junky, and some places that are Carpeted with Ferrous & Non- Ferrous targets.A Small Coil IS A MUST.Without it... I might as well give up the hobby! The Classic Series might be old technology but so far that hasn't kept anyone from finding Great finds and you rarely hear anyone complain about performance from their Classic model. Their is No Hype with the Classics...Just Solid Performance that handle just about any type of situation WITHOUT all the Frustration.Solid Performance,Quiet in Iron,Small learning Curve,Excellent Disc Mode,Best Battery life in the Business,Built Rugged and Still light enough to use all day long,True All Metal Mode at Min Disc, Head Phone Jack at Rear of Detector where it SHOULD BE,Lots of coils still available to handle the job,Can Be Modded to to perform even better with external controls and power boost! I Could go on but I'll stop,Besides... YOU already know about the Classics but sometimes I get carried away! One more thing.."I NEVER DIG NAILS AND BOTTLE CAPS" with My Classic and I know after using this SAME Detector for over 15 years or more what it's telling me! " I Leave The Iron Behind"
HH...
