Different stem for "TDI SL" ???

I have just had my TDI SL delivered.
However, I am surprise at the stem design.
All the photos I have seen have the box attached to an S stem with foam on the handle bit as on most detectors.
Mine has a short straight stem with the box attached, but no S shape. Instead a straight handle is welded to the stem with foam cover, similar to a true straight stem.
The S is the middle stem (with no foam).
The bottom stem is straight as expected.
The question is have I got an old or a new model?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Just to add, that I have been checking other TDI photos, and my stem appears to be the same as the "TDI Pro".
Any comments?
 
I like the shaft on my old TDI more, but the shaft on my TDI sl is not bad at all. IMHO
