YO, Lobo guys how many kinds of Lobos are made;silver one ,vlf disc lobo, super trac-lobo? Seems some have tune-switch,while others pin-point?Need feed back please.:thumbup:cjm

As far as I know there was the original lobo, lobo super Trac in normal colors and now it's grey.
But really just the 2 versions.
The supertrac tracks the ground as you're detecting.

Original Lobo, 20 hz VLF, manual ground balance.
Brown Lobo Supertraq, 17.8 hz VLF, auto ground balance in AM, preset in Disc.
Gray Lobo Supertraq, slightly different start up tone.

What he said^^^^^
Sorry I was just saying what I noticed. Don't own either.

I use brown to do the deed and never regretted it ever, I believe the original non ST was the original Gold Demon modified or some such incarnation? John

So the original had GB in both modes
Question is, if they can't share coils, and the lobo ST takes 4 pins, what coils did/can the original lobo take?

Lobo ST takes 4 pin female connector coils, original takes 4 pin male connector.

Oh ok. Well that means your coil choices are very limited on the lobo. That's the one I'd want but rethinking now because of the lack of coil options :-(
Thanks for the heads up!!!

seems like the original lobo could easily be moddified from
female to male, and open it up to a wider selection of coils.

i suspect the frequency range between the original lobo and the super traq are close
enough. i switch coild between my LST and Vaquero with good results and they have a
similar range difference....so maybe the freq diff is not that important.... in fact Tesoro
makes no mention if that at all... apparently Any delta coil is compatable with any delta machine
abd the same can be said for the epsilons. and all of those machines run at a wide
range of frequencies.... so maybe that whole frequency thing is BS.

It's my understanding that the Newer 4 pin coils can interchange with the LST, just stay away from the 4hole female version as you'll have a hard time finding a way to make it fit.
