Differences between 10" DD coils

Anybody have any info on the difference between the White's D2 10" double-D coil and the same size model by Excelerator?

I mean, besides the $100+ price difference?

And... while I'm asking, would I gain anything over the 6x10 Eclipse coil? Overall, I've been very disappointed with its performance.

I don't have either of the 10s, but I have the 6x10. If you run it hot it will go deep. Wheat at 9 to 10, with good vdi.

Matt

I have and have used all three coils in question and the 10" coils are about the same, performance wise. The D2 is built to higher standards, (nulled better) and repairable with the White's company standing behind it, one, two, three years down the road. The D2 is also V3 nulled which will appeal to a larger secondary market if you ever want to sell it. I get about two inches more depth in my ground with the 10" coils since the 6X10 is considered a 6" coil (the small side of an elliptical) for comparison reasons. Your results may vary and if you are using the V3,V3i, or thinking about getting one some day, I would definitely stick with the V rated coils.

I'll vouch for that Matt. Just had a wheat at an "honest" 8-9" with a clear 1-2 bar VDI and repeating tone. Running at +2.
I'll take that any day. Of course low trash helps a lot.
