Difference in old and new ATP's???

I have been looking at used ATP's online and was wondering if there are any differences between older and newer models. Is there anything to watch for when buying a used one? Thanks.

They should all be the same. Ask how long ago that a person bought it and if it was a long time ago, if it was sent in for the upgrades. At that time, they were tweaked for better water proofing and more stability.

The early ones did not have the cam locks on the shaft, just the pins that go through holes to hold the shafts together.

I got rid of the camlocks anyway...they really jam up with sand and silt if you are water hunting, dont need them at all..very easy to change out the batteries without the top camlock too....makes for a very sleek looking package without them..
Mud

I happen to have two; one I bought new and had upgraded when it had problems. The second, had not been upgraded and it has been trouble free for 2 years. When they upgraded them, they started the clock again on the 2 year warranty. So, good questions to ask the seller are if and when it was upgraded.
I agree with Mud. I prefer the one that was not upgraded. The cam locks do tighten up the shafts but I prefer the one without the cam locks.
Hope this helps! HH!
